Decadent Chocolate Brownie Trifle
The Trifle Bowl
I love my trifle bowl. I use it as an excuse to be creative. Everyone loves dirt for dessert and a trifle is a concoction of similar delectable foods. Trifle bowls can also be used for lots of other dishes. They just look good, a colorful salad always looks good in the bowl. For your very own trifle bowl click here.
It’s all in the layering process, the more colorful the layers the prettier the trifle. Layers can include leftover cakes, quickbreads, cookies or brownies. Pudding, instant is best, of any flavor is an excellent layer choice. Whipped cream or coolwhip is also an ideal topping for the trifle. Add ins can include candies, fruit or nuts. I also like to include crushed cookie crumbs or candies for the top. The pictured trifle has a few oreos that I was able to save from the vultures.
This recipe was for a block party, I thought it was going to be hot so I needed layers that would hold up to the weather. This chocolate brownie trifle did the job and went pretty quickly, I think my son would have licked the bowl clean if he could have!
